The pricing for the 26 most popular grocery stores in the US have been compared. In order to compare these prices fairly, I subsequently developed a price index. The pricing index for each store is shown in the graph below.
Exactly how affordable is Pick n Save? Pick & Save is less expensive than 20 out of the 26 grocery stores surveyed, according to our analysis, with a price index of 1.64. For reference, the pricing index’s highest rating is 3.90. which indicates that Pick n Save’s index score is 2.26 points inferior than that of the most expensive retailer. In essence, this means that Pick n Save offers pricing that are lower than those of 20 of the most well-known grocery store companies in the US.
The most popular shopping categories (beverages, bread, canned goods, dairy, dry goods, frozen, personal care, and cleaners) are used to gather pricing for a range of store brand products, and the index score is then computed by fully averaging the total price. To create this index, more than 100 distinct prices were gathered.
