Does Lidl Take EBT? Lidl accepts SNAP benefits via EBT cards. Funds can be applied towards food and drink items, excluding hot foods. They do not accept Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits.

How To Apply For SNAP Benefits

When applying for SNAP, the government agency will ask to see proof of low income. Though SNAP is a federal program, it is facilitated by state social services. You’ll have to contact your local state social services to apply for SNAP benefits.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, many agencies are allowing remote applications instead of requiring in-person interviews.

There are also a number of other federal assistance programs for struggling Americans. Besides WIC, there’s also Free School Meals for Children, Free Food Programs for Seniors, and D-SNAP, for people who are affected by disasters.
