If you are looking for Ramen Noodles in the grocery store, but are not sure what aisle to look in, then you are not alone. It can be quite hard to find these types of niche products in the store, as they are not directly referenced to in the aisle categories. To help you figure out what aisle the ramen noodles are in, I contacted 13 different major grocery chains and asked them where they shelve their ramen noodles.
What aisle are ramen noodles in? Ramen noodles can either be found in the international foods aisle, or in the Asian foods aisle. Generally speaking, they can be found in the same aisle as other Asian products.
Most of the grocery stores I contacted said that they have the ramen noodles in the international aisle, while a small minority of stores said that they store them in the Asian foods aisle. These are likely the same type of aisle, but are just called two different things. So, you are likely to find the ramen noodles in the same aisle as soy sauce, fish sauce, etc.
Ramen Noodle Aisle By Store
It is clear that the location of ramen noodles in the grocery store varies based upon what store you are shopping at. So, I contacted each of these stores to find out where you can find these noodles. Most grocery stores have the same layout for all of their locations, so it is safe to assume that the location I called has the ramen noodles in the same aisle as the one you shop in.

Do Grocery Stores Sell Plain Ramen Noodles?
If you are looking for plain ramen noodles that are sold without the seasoning packet, you may have struggled a bit. These noodles are also referred to as unflavored or unseasoned ramen noodles. While a majority of grocery stores sell regular ramen noodles WITH the seasoning packet, very few stores carry ramen noodles WITHOUT the seasoning packet.
In short, yes some grocery stores do sell plain ramen noodles without the seasoning packet, but it is harder to find than the standard ramen noodles.
Where To Buy Plain Ramen Noodles
After calling the regular grocery store chains listed above, it seemed that none of them carried plain, unflavored ramen. So I branched out a bit more and called a few more grocery stores that specialized in this type of food.
Both HMart and 99 Ranch sell plain, unseasoned, unflavored, ramen noodles. So, if you are looking for grocery stores that sell plain ramen noodles without the seasoning, then HMart and 99 Ranch are places you should look.
Final Thoughts: Ramen Noodles In The Grocery Store
So, it is pretty clear that if you are looking for ramen noodles in the grocery store, you just need to look towards the international foods/Asian foods aisle. However, if you are looking for a more specialized version of ramen noodles (like the plain ramen noodles), you are likely going to have to look outside of the general grocery store chains.
