There are a few steps that you need to take in order to get a new or a replacement Safeway Card. Below are the steps:
- Locate your customer service desk
- Ask the customer service representative for a Safeway Card application
- Fill out the application
- Give the application back to the customer service representative
- Receive your replacement Safeway Card
According to their employees, it shouldn’t really take more than 5 minutes to get your new card. For shoppers who don’t like to wait around, this is a great benefit as it means you will be able to receive a replacement in no time.
How Can You Find Your Safeway Club Card Number?
In order to find out what your personal Safeway Card number is, you must log into your Safeway account at https://www.safeway.com/. Once you are logged in you can follow these steps to navigate to your card number.
- Click Account at the top of the website
- Click Account Settings
- Locate your Safeway card number
It is super simple to go and get your Safeway number. Something to note here is that your club card number cannot be edited, meaning that it will stay the same regardless of how many replacement cards you get. Your number is specific to you and will not change.
How To Activate Your New Safeway Card
There are two easy ways that you can utilize to activate your new Safeway Card.
- Simply use it when paying for your items, it can be activated if its used in a transaction
- Ask a cashier to scan the card when you are checking out
In other words, all you need to do is use the new Safeway Card when paying for your items and it will automatically activate and start giving you discounts immediately.
Can You Use Your Phone Number Instead of Your Safeway Card?
As an alternative, card holders can just type in their phone number when checking out and they will still receive all of the same discounts. In fact, you do not even need your physical card to get your savings, all you need is the associated phone number.
How Much Does It Cost To Get A Safeway Card?
Safeway cards are free for anyone that signs up. It costs nothing to get started, which means you will be able to start saving immediately.
How Old Do You Have To Be To Get a Safeway Card?
All non-employees must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a Safeway card. However, for employees, there is no age requirement.
This means that if you are working at a Safeway and are under the age of 18, you can still sign up for a card.
